Sewable EL Wire - Easy Sew Tag @ £3.50 per metre

This handy item is a 2.3mm EL wire with sewable tag running along it; it is available in lengths of 50cm, 1m, 3m, 5m and 10 metre.

(EL wire needs a Driver to make it glow - available from £4 in the Inverter/Driver section of the website).

EL Wire twisted into a spiral

The wire is available in any of these colours:

Light Blue (Tron Blue), Purple, Deep Blue, Pink, Red, Orange, Yellow, Lime Green, Turquoise-Green (being discontinued), Grass Green and White

Because the EL naturally glows blue/green the brightest colour of the wire is the Light Blue, Lime Green and White. The least bright are the red and purple as they have to be filtered the most to get the colours right.

The wire has a connector already attached and ready to clip into an EL Driver - THE DRIVER HAS TO BE BOUGHT SEPARATELY

By using splitters you can also connect different strands to the same Driver.

This listing is for a 12v (with car-lighter attachment) inverter which will run up to 5 metres of EL neon glow wire

The inverter DOES NOT have an on/off switch or a flashing function.

But does have two integral screw fixing points on either side of it so it can be fastened down.

It has a water-tight seal all round it including where the wires come in and out of it. Attached in a sensible place it should withstand all types of weather.

Its dimensions are: 29mm x 19mm x 24mm (L x W x H).

The screw fixing tabs stick out 6mm each on the 29mm side and could easily be cut off.

The cigarette lighter attachment plugs into the inverter and has a coiled lead.

Here we have a large and powerful EL Driver that is sealed within a waterproof casing - reducing the whistle while also making it water-resistant.

This is a 12v driver (with crocodile clips) which will run between 5 and 15 metres of EL neon glow wire or 150 - 400 square centimetres of EL Tape or EL Panel.

The driver DOES NOT have an on/off switch or a blinking function

But does have two integral screw fixing points on either side of it so it can be fastened down.

This is a 12v driver (with car-lighter attachment) which will between 5 and 15 metres of EL wire or 150 - 400 squ cm of EL Tape

The Car Lighter attachment can be cut off and directly wired into the 12v power system in a car.

EL Tape - 2cm x 40cm - Neon Glow Strip

This is for a 2cm wide and 40cm long Electro-Luminescent Tape.

Currently, in stock we have these colours: Light Blue (Tron Blue), Deep Blue, Red, Orange, Green and White

On the back of the EL Tape it has wires with connectors already attached:

EL Tape is an incredibly versatile material it can be wrapped around things.

To join it to a costume we recommend our 'sewable loop & stick-able-hook' Velcro which allows you to sew one part of the Velcro to your costume while the sticky part goes on the back of this tape. The tape can then be removed from the costume to wash it.

EL Tape can even have holes and shapes punched into it and be cut to your chosen shape.

This Tape is also available in 12cm, 25cm and 1 metre lengths.

The Basic 2 x AA driver can power this 40cm EL Tape and the Adaptable 5-15m with the 8 x AA battery box option can power just over 2 metres of EL Tape.

Adaptable Driver for up to 5m EL Wire (Water Resistant)

This is a super adaptable EL Driver which will run up to 5 metres of EL wire or 150squ cm of EL Tapes or EL Panels.

It DOES NOT have a flashing function - but comes with the option of an On/Off 'Plunger Switch'. The switch will latch on when fully pressed down, press for a second time and the switch will latch off.

As explained in detail below, these Adaptable Drivers are very versatile with a whole selection of Power inputs (Mains, Batteries, Direct 12V etc)

It has two integral screw fixing points on either side of it so it can be fastened down.

It has a water-tight seal all round it including where the wires come in and out of it. Attached in a sensible place it should withstand all types of weather

Its dimensions are: 29mm x 19mm x 24mm (L x W x H)

EL Driver Options:

This EL Driver comes either with or without an On/Off switch.

Without a switch it will draw power whenever it is connected to a power source

Or It has a Trigger Switch on the end of a 1.2metre cable. For portable uses, this allows the unit to be held on the body while the switch runs down the sleeve to the hand. For other uses, it allows the driver to be mounted somewhere pretty far from the switch

This Driver has a range of power inputs that cover most potential uses, please choose one of these from the drop-down menu:

1) ONLY THE DRIVER

Maybe you have your own 12V 5.5mm/2.1mm input you want to use, perhaps you will be using one of the 2-way power splitters, or will you be cutting off the connector and using the bare wires?

2) Crocodile Clips

Perfect if you already have your own 12V battery to run this driver

3) 8xAA Battery Box

This 8xAA Battery Box will plug straight into the driver. It is fairly large (127mm x 72mm x 19mm) but will make this EL Driver portable

4) 3 x 18650 Rechargeable Battery Box

This 3 x 18650 Rechargeable Battery Box will plug straight into the driver. It is fairly large (76mm x 60mm x 19mm) and the leads for the output are 15cm long but will make this EL Driver portable.

5) Rechargeable Li-ion Battery

Much smaller and lighter than the Battery Box, these powerful Li-ion batteries come in a range of sizes

1000mAh: 81g (6.5cm x 3.7cm x 1.8cm)

1800mAh (square): 145g (5.6cm x 3.8cm x 3.1cm)

3000mAh: 172g (7.3cm x 5.6cm x 2.2cm)

5000mAh: 265g (6.0cm x 5.8cm x 3.9cm)

All of these Li-ion Batteries come with an intelligent recharger, unless you choose 'No Charger'.

6) Mains Powered

This handy PSU can be used to make this EL Driver powered by Mains Electricity (UK, US or Eu plugs are available)

This is a super 24V EL Driver which will run from 5 to 15 metres of EL wire or 70 - 350squ cm of EL Tape or Panel. Simply plug in your EL Wire, EL Panel or Tape and connect it to a 24V power supply.

It DOES NOT have a flashing function.

It has two integral screw fixing points on either side of it so it can be fastened down and it has a water-tight seal all round it including where the wires come in and out of it. Attached in a sensible place it should withstand all types of weather

This is a super adaptable EL Driver which will run from 5 to 15 metres of EL wire or 50 - 300squ cm of EL Tapes or Panels.

New Square Glowing Uber Logo

No-one will be able to miss you with this glowing UBER sign with a choice of power inputs

This thin glowing sign is 10cm x 10cm

It is legal to display as it glows white, and if positioned at the edge of the windscreen is small enough so it cannot be classed as blocking the drivers view.

Available with or without a sticky front to make it easier to attach to your windscreen.

The reverse of this sign is backed with a protective layer and is printed with the drivers logo as below, this side does not glow.

Join Power Cables with Self Stripping Wire Connectors (pack of 2)

These small clips are known as "Self Stripping Wire Connectors"

When used with an EL Wire setup they have one very specific purpose:

If you need to hook your 12v EL Driver onto the 12v lighting loom of a vehicle, by using these connectors you do not have to do any soldering to attach the wire.

To use the connectors is easy:

1) The +ve and -ve each need their own connector

2) Just lay the wire from the vehicle you want to attach to inside the connector

3) Then put the wire from the driver next to it

4) Close the connector to complete the circuit and join the wires

These connectors are suggested to be used with our adaptable drivers
