This is a fused Car Lighter Attachment that plugs in to a 2.1mm/5.5mm Jack Plug, making it suitable for powering any of our 12v EL Drivers

These connectors are suggested to be used with our adaptable drivers

Crocodile Clips

These are simply crocodile clips attached to a 2.1mm/5.5mm Jack Plug, to allow you to power off of an external 12v Battery

These connectors are suggested to be used with our adaptable drivers

Adaptable Driver for 10-40m (Trigger Switch)

This adaptable EL Driver will run between 10 and 40 meters of EL Wire and 150 - 600 square cm (A4) of EL Panel or EL Tape.
It DOES NOT have a flashing function - but has a Trigger Switch on the end of a 1.2metre cable.

For portable uses, this allows the unit to be held on the body while the switch runs down the sleeve to the hand. For other uses, it allows the driver to be mounted somewhere pretty far from the switch. The switch will latch on when fully pressed down, press for a second time and the switch will latch off.

As explained in detail below, these Adaptable Drivers are very versatile with a whole selection of power supplies (Mains, Batteries, Direct 12V etc)

Its dimensions are: 8cm x 5cm x 3.2cm (L x W x H) and weighs 130g.

We have found it is impossible to guess how you will be using the EL Wire, EL Tape and Drivers, so you will see on this website we have tried to give you as many choices as possible.

This driver is no exception as it also has a range of power inputs that hopefully cover most uses:

1) ONLY THE DRIVER

Maybe you have your own 12V 5.5mm/2.1mm input you want to use, perhaps you will be using one of the 2-way power splitters?

Whatever your reason, this option gives you just the driver (as in the pic above) - without any external power connectors like the rest of these listed below...

2) Crocodile Clips

Perfect if you already have your own 12V battery to run this driver

3) 8xAA Battery Box

This 8xAA Battery Box will plug straight into the driver. It is fairly large (126mm X 72mm X 18mm) but will make this EL Driver portable

4) 3 x 18650 Rechargeable Battery Box

This 3 x 18650 Rechargeable Battery Box will plug straight into the driver. It is fairly large (63mm X 58mm X 30mm) and the leads for the output are 15cm long but will make this EL Driver portable.

5) Rechargeable Li-ion Battery

Much smaller and lighter than the Battery Box, these powerful Li-ion batteries come in a range of sizes

1800mAh (thin): 125g (10cm x 5.5cm x 0.8cm)

1800mAh (square): 125g (5cm x 3.3cm x 2.7cm)

3000mAh: 172g (7.3cm x 5.6cm x 2.2cm)

5000mAh: 250g (5.3cm x 5.8cm x 3.9cm)

All of these Li-ion Batteries come with an intelligent recharger

6) Mains Powered

This handy PSU can be used to make this EL Driver powered off of Mains Electricity (UK, US or Euro plugs are available)

7) Car Lighter Adaptor

This adaptor plugs into the car lighter socket. It is fused and ends with a 5.5mm/2.1mm jack plug so it can be used with any of our 12v Drivers or accessories

8) 2 way Splitter for 12V Power Input (5.5mm)

If you're thinking of running two of these units off of one power source, then get yourself one of these splitters.

Please note this is a Splitter from the Battery to the Driver, so you would only need one Battery pack for 2 x Drivers.

You can use this Remote Control Unit by connecting the Controller between the Power Source and the Driver

You can use several controllers with just one hand-held remote unit if you want to switch several drivers at once.

Adaptable Driver for 20 - 60m

This handy item is an adaptable driver which will run between 20 and 60 metres of EL Wire.

Running any less wire than 20m will reduce the lifespan of the wire and strain this driver as it is being overpowered.

The Driver has a switch on the back for either continuous ON or Flashing

The size of the Driver is: 12cm x 6.5cm x 3cm and weighs 222g.

This is a very powerful inverter that not only runs very long lengths of EL Wire but does so much brighter than most other drivers!

Using splitters it can run as many strands as you like as long as the total is under 60 metres

MAXI EL Wire - 1.5mm High Brightness @ £5 per metre

MAXI EL Wire lives up to its name by bringing together the latest breakthroughs in electroluminescent technology to create a high brightness glowing wire that outshines standard EL Wire.

At 1.5mm in diameter, you will find that whilst making patterns with the MAXI EL Wire, it will hold itself rigid when bent into its desired shape. 1.0mm fine EL Wire also does this, but MAXI EL Wire creates a much more rigid form.

The Maxi EL Wire is more robust than the Ultra EL Wire and is as reliable as the standard EL Wire.

The bend radius of MAXI EL Wire is 5mm; the same as our standard EL Wire.

EL Panel - 2.4cm x 4.5cm

These tiny EL Panels are really handy and can have so many uses.

They run off any EL Driver and you can 'daisy chain' splitters to have as many as you want lit up.

The item we offer to you is a versatile 2.4cm wide and 4.5cm long Electroluminescent Panel.

This panel comes with 10.5cm's wire lead and 9cm's of super thin FFC tape that's even thinner that the panel for great flexibility.

With a driver, these glow very brightly making them ideal for the eye piece in masks.

The panel itself is less than half a millimetre thick but is not see-through.

The 5mm EL Wire is the least brightest of different diameters of EL Wire, but is ideal for outdoor applications - Sunlight is not good for EL Wire and the thick coating on this wire protects it more.

Some people also prefer this thicker wire for its 'chunky neon cable' look but will not bend into the rightangles required for some letters of the alphabet.when you're making a faux neon sign.

STIFF EL Wire 2.3mm @ £5 per metre

Stiff EL Wire lives up to its name as a mould-able, bendable wire suitable for making signs or shapes.

At 2.3mm in diameter, you will find while making patterns with this Stiff EL Wire, it will hold itself rigid when bent into its desired shape and is robust with a strong connector

The bend radius of Stiff EL Wire is 5mm which is the same as our standard EL Wire as is the breaking strain at 1kg
Pressure on the Stiff EL Wire should not be more than 1kg, this means it cannot be pinched too hard or trodden on

This Stiff EL Wire is unlike the standard EL Wire. The 1.0mm, MAXI and ULTRA also share this property, but because of a reinforced copper core, the Stiff EL Wire definitely holds its shape best.

In this set is everything you need to turn your own normal hoodie into a glowing EL Wire hoodie

With this set you will get:

1) 1.5 metres of 3.2mm EL Wire to outline the hoodie

2) Trigger Driver so you can switch from 'glow mode' to 'incognito' using a switch in your sleeve

3) 30 x Clear Hoops to make it easy to attach the EL Wire to the hoodie and also make it removable so you can put it through the washing machine

The EL Wire outline is in a selection of colours:
Light Blue (Tron Blue), Deep Blue, Pink, Purple, Orange, Red, Yellow, Lime Green, Grass Green and White
