Glowing Christmas Jumper Set

Turn any ordinary jumper into a glowing, flashing Christmas Jumper with this fantastic EL Panel Set.

With this set you get

1) 3 x Christmas Shapes,

2) 1 x slimline sequencer that takes 2 x AA batteries (not supplied)

3) Velcro for easy application

The glowing snowflakes and Christmas trees are made from light and flexible EL Panel that shine really brightly

Converting your jumper is simple:

1) Make 3 small (1/2cm) holes in the jumper (on a loose knit jumper you do not need to make holes, as you can poke the wires through the weave)

2) Push the connector lead on each of the panels through the holes and connect to the sequencer.

3) We supply Velcro which can be sewn or glued to the jumper and also sticks to the back of the shapes to completely hold them in place. (not necessary, but recommended)

4) The Sequencer has a belt clip or can be put in the pocket. It has an adjustable dial so you can change the speed at which they rotate through.

You will get a choice of colours and shapes (White, Blue or Pink Snowflake and a Green Xmas Tree) .

Adaptable Driver for 5-15m (Water Resistant)

This is a super adaptable EL Driver which will run from 5 to 15meters of EL wire or 70 - 350squ cm of EL Tape or Panel

It DOES NOT have a flashing function - but comes with the option of an On/Off plunger switch. The switch will latch on when fully pressed down, press for a second time and the switch will latch off.

As explained in detail below, these Adaptable Drivers are very versatile with a whole selection of power supplies (Mains, Batteries, Direct 12V etc)

It has two integral screw fixing points on either side of it so it can be fastened down

plus it has a water-tight seal all round it including where the wires come in and out of it. Attached in a sensible place it should withstand all types of weather

Its dimensions are: 4cm x 3.2cm x 3cm (L x W x H). The screw fixing tabs stick out 6mm each on the 29mm side and could easily be cut off if space is vital. The driver weighs 85g.

EL Driver Options:

This EL Driver comes either with or without an On/Off switch.

Without a switch it will draw power whenever it is connected to a power source

Or It has a Trigger Switch on the end of a 1.2metre cable. For portable uses, this allows the unit to be held on the body while the switch runs down the sleeve to the hand. For other uses, it allows the driver to be mounted somewhere pretty far from the switch

We have found it is impossible to guess how you will be using the EL Wire, EL Tape and Drivers, so you will see on this website we have tried to give you as many choices as possible.

This driver is no exception as it also has a range of power inputs that cover most potential uses, please choose one of these from the drop-down menu:

1) ONLY THE DRIVER

Maybe you have your own 12V 5.5mm/2.1mm input you want to use, perhaps you will be using one of the 2-way power splitters, or will you be cutting off the connector and using the bare wires?

Whatever your reason, this option gives you just the driver (as in the pic above) - without any external power connectors like the rest of these listed below...

2) Crocodile Clips

Perfect if you already have your own 12V battery to run this driver

3) 8xAA Battery Box

This 8xAA Battery Box will plug straight into the driver. It is fairly large (126mm X 72mm X 18mm) but will make this EL Driver portable

4) 3 x 18650 Rechargeable Battery Box

This 3 x 18650 Rechargeable Battery Box will plug straight into the driver. It is fairly large (63mm X 58mm X 30mm) and the leads for the output are 15cm long but will make this EL Driver portable.

5) Rechargeable Li-ion Battery

Much smaller and lighter than the Battery Box, these powerful Li-ion batteries come in a range of sizes

1800mAh (flat): 100g (10cm x 5.5cm x 0.8cm)

1800mAh: 100g (5cm x 3.3cm x 2.7cm)

3000mAh: 172g (7.3cm x 5.6cm x 2.2cm)

5000mAh: 265g (5.3cm x 5.8cm x 3.9cm)

6) Mains Powered

This handy PSU can be used to make this EL Driver powered off of Mains Electricity (UK, US or Euro plugs are available)

7) Car Lighter Adaptor

This adaptor plugs into the car lighter socket. It is fused and ends with a 5.5mm/2.1mm jack plug so it can be used with any of our 12v Drivers or accessories

8) Self Stripping Wire Connectors (2)

This Driver is perfect for using when decorating your car with EL Wire.

An incredibly simple way to join the wires into your 12V loom is using these Self Stripping Wire Connectors (pack of 2)

9) 2 way Splitter for 12V Power Input (5.5mm)

If you're thinking of running two of these units off of one power source, then get yourself one of these splitters.

Please note this is a Splitter from the Battery to the Driver, so you would only need one Battery pack for 2 x Drivers.

The Panel needs a Driver to power it - this can either run off a 12v power pack or mains electricity (UK plugs are standard but Euro or US are available on request)

A size panels double in size, so it is possible to use an A3 Driver to power two A4 panels (using an EL Splitter), or the same A3 Driver could power four A5 size panels using a 4-way splitter.

EL Ribbon - 1.5cm x 20cm

This listing is for 1.5cm wide and 20cm long Electroluminescent Tape.

This EL Ribbon needs a small inverter to power it - Visit our shop to see a selection of inverters and other EL goodies.

The Colour glows a beautiful Light Blue (Tron Blue), White or Red.

As you can see from the picture it is divided into segments; the exact dimensions are:

The Strip itself is 1.5cm x 20cm

The Glowing section of it is actually 1.1cm wide

First there is a 1.1cm x 4.7cm glowing block

Then a 0.4cm x 1.5cm joining section

Next are two blocks of 1.1cm x 3.5cm

Here we have two separate items: either a 6cm or 10cm diameter circular EL Panel.

Ideal for backlighting dashboard gauges the EL Panel glows very brightly and can also be used for decoration or fancy-dress costumes

The Panel needs an Inverter/Driver to power it, and we have a choice of 4.2v, 6v, 9v and 12v drivers that are designed not to take up too much space if you are installing it as a backlight - or can be portable if it is for a costume.
