Glowing Car Accessories
EL wire is one of the simplest ways to add a custom glow to a car interior. It's thin, flexible and runs cool, so it tucks neatly into the gaps around the dashboard, centre console, door cards and footwells to give a clean line of light rather than a bright spot.
Everything on this page runs off 12V, so it can be powered from your car's 12V socket or wired into the car's own supply. Our water-resistant 12V drivers power anything from a short trim line up to 15 metres of EL wire or EL tape, and you can choose from a wide range of colours to match your dash lights or interior.
Tips: EL wire works best as trim (outlining edges and panel gaps) rather than for lighting up large areas. If you're fitting lights to the outside of the car, check the lighting rules for driving on the road where you live.
